minor eyelid procedures
Eyelid cysts:
An eyelid cyst is a lump that occurs on the upper or lower eyelid. It is usually caused by a blocked gland. Although cysts are usually painless, it is sometimes recommended that they be removed, in which case a minor surgery can be conducted under local anaesthetic. During the procedure, your surgeon will turn the eyelid inside out so that the cyst can be cut and gently removed. The procedure is quite simple, and takes around 20 minutes to complete.
After eyelid surgery, it is quite normal to experience dryness in the eyes. Your doctor may recommend that apply ice or ice packs to reduce swelling.
